What's the best battery charger that you recommend that monitors the battery, that i can just leave connected 24/7? Save buying a new battery every year

Does it automatically detect 12volt if mains power is turned off and on?

Yes, exactly that.

Won’t recover a battery at <12v.

Does traditional batteries as well as AGM.

Yes, I can second CTEK. I have one with a “reconditioning” function that has brought batteries back from the dead.

Can also just leave them plugged in over winter without a problem.

I’m using this one, it’s brought a dead battery back to life and keeps my leisure battery in tip top condition. Also stick it on the wife’s agm battery & Clio once a year around mot time

I use ctek on my cars that are used but sparingly.

If your not planning to drive for 3 months or longer best off dropping the negative terminal off if possible, and occasionally topping battery up on trickle.

Ive had a couple of batterys fail after continuous trickle charge over winter for whatever reason. One on blue meg fired up willingly after winter layup, then started up one more time and failed on 3rd attempt at the petrol station typically.
