Aynone miss the RenaultSport feature on TG on Sunday?

Same.

They are really, really good. Its irrelevant that the AMG has 400+ bhp. Its not about drag racing for me.

Completely agree as well.

I definitely want to own a Megane RS at some point (if I could afford an Alpine A110 when they put the Trophy engine in it then I would have that like a shot!) but my commute severely knocks that on the head.

Plus (and as a petrolhead this real shames me to admit it) I am getting completely bored by this HP willy waving of hot hatches and super saloons. It seems that almost every day there is a new 300hp this or 400hp that or 600hp other - it's just boring now. And the power can't be used on the road without risking life, limb or license.
That's not to say I wouldn't buy one if had loads of disposable income though!

We did this in the 80s with the supercars , then the bahnstormers in the 90s ..
Repeat ..

I guess HP sells cars now its "too expensive" to race.

Win on Sunday, sell a car Monday as the old saying went

Yeah - I guess the issue is that modern cars grip and stop so well compared to them that the performance of even a hot hatch is virtually unusable on the road with any degree of safety for most drivers most of the time.
It's quite interesting to see how comments have changed on places like Autocar with quite a few now saying that cars are getting a bit silly.

I guess, isn’t renaultsport a”modern” brand when the 172 was released? None of the others had RS Branding that I know about?
