Long time member, infrequent poster here

This weekend was a bit of an emotional one for me and no doubt countless other members with one important person missing from the proceedings

My prep of my naughty Trophy started about 2 weeks ago after she decided to break 2 springs while sat on the drive

So a set of Grams
lowering springs and a NS swivel hub later that got her back on her wheels.
I then set about fitting a new AC condenser and seals and then got the AC regassed..so much better with plenty of cold air coming out of the vents

Friday was wash and brush up time, time to make her pretty again after sitting on the drive unloved for the last few months

Once that was done, Moggys tribute sticker took pride of place on my rear window

With the Trophy ready to go she was put to bed until the 5am alarm call.
Saturday morning arrives, excitement fills the house, 2 x R26’s and a 225 Trophy are ready to hit the road for the long drive to Oulton Park.

We meet up with Steve Holland on the way in his beautiful Mk4 Trophy-R and head off to the next meet up point where we pick up Danny Biggs and his partner Sue in their Ph1 Mk2 Inferno 225.
With everyone in tow we have a steady drive up to Oulton - albeit a tad slower than the old days
We arrive at the track, find our area and set up ‘camp’ with everyone else.
Was great to catch up with old and new members, for me it’s been way too long.
I invited a guy called Mark into the display area as he’d parked his lovely black R26 in the public parking, had a good chat with him and helped him to find his radio code - one happy guy
We had a stroll round, had a good look at the other cars, watched some racing and generally didn’t want the day to end, but alas it had to.
This was topped off with a parade lap round the track after the racing had finished.

Once we’d done, we headed back to the paddock area to get ready to come home.
This moment was special for me, i’m sure Moggy came to us at the very end to wish us farewell.
Miss you so much mate, hope we did you proud.
I’d also like to say a special thank you to my beautiful wife Sarah for making these ‘memory’ boards as a memorial to Moggy, I hope everyone that saw them thought they were as special as we did.
