APEC REAR DISCS - POSSIBLE GROUP BUY?

Update... I spoke to Matt Pearce at Apec on Friday, and explained I had roughly 20 people interested in these rear discs. We're now in the process of trying to get a sample rear disc to them, and the estimate is approx 3 months to get them into production.

The discs will then get a part number and be listed as per the fronts, and sold through distributors. So as previously mentioned, this is not a group buy as such, but rather a catalyst for them making the things for us!

Matt said that since the fronts went on sale, they have supplied 50 sets in total.

I will post back here when I have some more news.

I've fired a PM over to Pturner3 as he offered a spare rear disc as a sample, if I don't hear from him, I'll get in touch with SG Motorsport.

I've got the set from rixey's car coming to me as a temporay measure so I can keep my disks once they are removed if no other ones materialise.

Matt sounded disappointed when there were only 50 sets showing being sold on the system, when I explained there were only 256 ph1 And 354 ph2 cars, he agreed the amount sold was actually fairly good!

Especially when you consider that the originals last a few years anyway! I bought OEM just before the APEC fronts came out, but I will buy APEC next time.... The number sold will only go up and up.

hope these get sorted, as for a group buy, i cannot see the point! apec will make these, eventually, and they will be available through a network of motor factors throughout the country at competitive prices, just get em made.

They are going to make them, it's taken some persuasion but they are going into development as we speak, Phil on this forum kindly donated one of his old discs for APEC to use.

it's a 3-6 month timescale.

Matt as mentioned above, if you are desperate you might have to look at other options. APEC are saying 3-6 months development time. As soon as I have any more news I'll post back here

Superb work fellas. My car's off the road for next year or so, so I'm not in the biggest rush. I will however 100% be getting a set of these once they are available. :approve:

Please remember to point out to APEC that the rears should be curved vame if possible to be a direct OEM replacement.

I'm the same Craig, all new discs and pads needed, rear tyres are fine, been quoted £200 per tyre inc balance
And fit for front tyres (pilot sport 3)

still thinking hats and universal rotors for front and rear, or buy a few sets of these
