im really tempted by one of these little scooters to travel the 2 miles up to town were I park the lorry night times, also small enought to chuck in lorry for running to the chippy on after a shift etc,, just wondering what it would cost to register and insure one to use as id need to commute across roads in town and along cycle lanes if thats allowed..I see to register it would cost £55 so imguessing insurance cant be too much..also would you need to hace completed a cbt to ride..as it only electric powered as opposed to petrol..

Perfect stable mate for a Clio V6. :race:

I can see the appeal, it'd be great fun but slightly embarrassing, just don't turn up to your local Hell's Angels meet on it.

For such short distances aren't you better off with a folding bicycle?

Kind of tempted as a 20 min walk at 3.30 in the morning isnt as appealing as a blast through the houses on one
of these

them mirrors would be the first thing to come off lol

Call me a miserable sod but what really pisses me of is the fact you would have to register and insure one of those yet those colossal 4 wheel old people carriages (fat bastard/lazy twat carriages where I'm from!) get away with the lot. Why is that? Surely if you limit yourself speed wise on a scooter you could get away with it?

Brompton mate. They rock.

They sure do Matt. A good friend of mine works for Brompton and builds the frames to them down in London. I had a go on his the other week around hampton court where he lives. It was brilliant. It was very surprising how quickly you can go on one from point to point!

Stevo, I just want to point out that you are not the smallest of blokes and pictures are a must if you do buy one of these tiny kids toys!

Yea, great company. Took my students down this year to see them at Brentwood. I know will butler Adams the MD pretty well. Even got Andy Richie the inventor to sign my book ( sad I know)

I use mine everywhere and cycle to work each day then catch train with it. Portable transport and British made! They even have a world champs. Did a few laps racing round Goodwood last year on it.
