Anyone know this car?

It's in Ashford - very easy to send to France.

Wrong lights, non-UK plaque number, questionable seats, iffy-positioned harnesses anchors, engine covers? dubious wheels, missing front tray?
Allegedly cat D.

Nicely presented in the advert though.

Will be worth a fortune in 10 years but not a great buy right now...

Last time I saw it, it was advertised as being a cat-d repaired car. Ad says HPI clear so needs to a very close look.

Not one for the purists, but looks reasonably tidy.

That certainly is an interesting one!

Doesn't say anything about being a Cat D, but shouts out as being "HPI CLEAR".

Quote : "Private plate with certificate and documents - ANP 6R - this allows for number of former keepers due to changes in number plates."

Don't get this, I've changed private number plates on cars in the past and it's never put an extra owner on the V5?

Well I can tell you now he will take £8250 for it.....

. . . . But still got to add on price of original wheels, engine covers, front tray etc = £1.5 plus you still have a cat d car.

Number plate maybe worth a little though?

He has the engine trays, seats would only be £100, wheels will take some time. If you where just to park it up might be worth while? Let's face it, parts will only get more expensive as time goes on.

Exactly my friend. In this example, the force isn't strong...

If you are intending to return it to original condition and hold onto it for a number of years then yes it may be worth it, seeing that the car does still have the engine covers and storage tray is a big plus point though does the engine cover have any holes cut in it for the harnesses? Selling the phase 2 spoiler and replacing with a phase 1 might recoup a little bit of money which you could spend on fitting original seats, you could then put the bucket seats on eBay and hopefully recoup a little more.

The wheels may take a while to find and could cost another £500-£1000 on top of the purchase price, but then again if you can find someone to buy the Kahn wheels (unlikely) yet again you can recoup a bit more of your expenditure.

Then it's just a case of replacing the rear lights, sorting out the rear badges, replacing the windscreen washer nozzles (they look to have been painted silver) and a steering wheel re-trim from what I can see in the pictures.

Cat 'D' examples still have a stigma attached to them but the general concensus seems to be that if repaired properly they can represent a bargain that in the future may yield a nice increase in price. Pictures of the repair work undertaken if the owner has them would go along way in reassuring future buyers.

One thing I would say though is that I don't trust the way those harnesses are fitted so if you do end up buying it I wouldn't drive it anywhere using them.
