Ok cheers mate don't think it's hiding anything with a black roof it does look nice it's in Bridgend mate

It's about 50 miles from me then.

The trouble with 'styled' Vees is that they split opinion. Some aftermarket replacement products (eg seats) are a must - others are plain naff... and that's when you might get negative comments from a Vee connoisseur (possible when the car is in good mechanical state).

Vees are genuine auto-exotica. As such, do not expect to run these on a modest budget...

Make sure that you go into the decision process fully genned up and be prepared to 'walk away'. You've possibly made your first mistake by not researching the archives on here regarding 230 foibles.

Nevertheless, good luck with the search. If today 's Vee is 'the one' - then you'll absolutely love it!

: )

Ok mate will do, does that mean there will be no number .plaque

It did have a plaque on it from new (#187), but at some point it was removed. It currently has a non original (ie not made by renault) plaque on it saying I187.

It has had a whole respray in the last couple of years, and at that time, they elected to spray the roof black.

The first known owner to us had informed us he was rebuilding it himself and then he sold lots of unused parts on ebay. I believe it had a smack when it was on press car duty. Since then its turned up a few places and was owned by exclub member Mark. It looks pretty nice then:

So as long as it passes the close up inspection and doesnt creak/rattle too much from all the taking apart and putting back together its had then it could be a nice car.

Im not sure if the smack in the press car days would show up on HPI as it might not of been subject to an insurance claim.

Last time i saw it, it was on its 6th owner. Approx 32k miles.

Tread carefully, could be a lemon, but could also be a peach. :approve:
