We had all of our University cars done in it - however they are now covered if white fluffy clouds (very embarrassing esp when driving around Blackpool)
Hey look a 'DIY condom' for cars.
How incredibly tasteful ... NOT !
Why pay for a paint job only to hide it ?
As you gathered, not for me anyway.
My V6 shall not be producing any illegitimate offspring in white or multi-coloured variants with clouds or such.
I've got Racoon (the people who do the Gumball livery jobs; things like the 360 covered in dollar bills) to quote to do my car in a complete wrap of a certain colour and you're looking at around the 1.2k mark.
I also got a couple of local bodyshops to quote for a respray of the car in the colour I was after and the cost was coming out at around the same.
Which option will I go for? Probably the wrap if they can prove it's good quality in terms of application around all those tricky compound curves and sharp returns our cars have. Why? because I get the colour change I want and I also get to protect the underlying paint on the car so I'm sort of getting a respray and venture shield in the same outlay.
I've had the car wrapped once before when it was a member of our track day hire fleet and from experience know that if it's done properly it can look seemless on the car and can also be removed with a hairdryer with absolutely no discernible effect to the underlying paint.
