Anyone ever used this stuff?

I'm guessing if your car has been mapped to require a higher octane then this would be useful?

There's more info to read by putting "Octane" in the search box above.

5th gear did a series of tests on these kind of things last series (you may be able to find it on youtube if you search). They found none of them increased power and in 1 instance the power was DECREASED.

I seem to remember it being quite a thorough test as well....engine on a bench type thing.

Mine runs better with octane inprover, athough i don't use the stuff you can buy off the shelf. We buy it in drums of 25l.

Hi Vee people,
I have a mate who works at Thornton research in Elsmearport he said that the coctail of chemicals needed to increase the octain rating by just one to two points would not be sold in shops like Halfords and to be able to buy such chemicals you would have to have a licence to store such chemicals and you would have to satisfy the Health and safety Executive that you are able to show appropriate duty of care under the COSHH Regulations 2004. He calls these so called octain boosters dope oil because only dopes buy them, Shell V Power works well in the Clio V6. My Clio runs very well on 99 octain unleaded that they sell in my local Tesco petrol station.

Cold Fusion.
