hi everyone i have recently brought an obd2 code reader my engine light has been on but there seems to be nothing wrong with my car. i plugged in the code reader and got 2 faults 1 fault being the "fuel trim bank 1" fault 2 "fuel trim bank 2" the car is running fine i keep on reseting it but it come back on again in bout 2-3 days. any ideas what it could be.
thankyou

the only thing i have done to the car is induction kit. its says the fuel trim bank 1 and bank 2 is faulty but what the hell that mean or what it does i dont know. just wondered if any one had a clue?? thanks

If this is still causing you a problem... I spoke to a mate of mine that works at Renault. He said its probably the fuel pressure supply to bank A and bank B (ie the 2 halves of the vee) injector rail. Not entirely sure as the Renault Diag kit doesn`t word it like that. He suggested a faulty fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator. Bad news is that the fuel pressure regulator is part of the pump anyway. I`d get it to a Renault dealer to diagnose. Let me know how you get on. :approve:

cheers i will have to do it before my warrenty runs out. the strange thing is the car sounds and drives normal. thanks for the feedback ill let you know how it gets on.
