Another nice looking titanium Mk2 22k + recaro's - £14,250

personally I think the Vee looks bloody fantastic in any colour and that's why I wasn't fussy which colour I bought. Good luck to anyone buying a LY that's circa £6k more than an equivalent condition Titanium as an example.

It's one of the primary choice things which generate the market price spread and keeps the market active.

I like how the silver owners pipe up-- the reality is the world of 'desirability' revolves around unique items, & in the world of cars, the same is true right through the renaultsport range-
Silver & blue will always be at the lower end of the pricing than say a liquid yellow- That doesnt make the other colours less attractive in the the flesh- just less marketable....

Spoken like a true car salesman!! Well done mate you are good at your job!! :approve:

After all, what is unique about a car that Renault made 37 of!!???

This being a Clio V6 members' forum I find it interesting that a debate about which colour is best raging on..........

Having been a car enthusiast for many years, I must admit this is the first time I have ever experienced such a debate taking place amongst the marque's enthusiasts. After all who really cares about the colour - the Vee is a rare/unique, quirky and fun car after all. In my book rarerity and provenance hold more value, be it racing heritage or something interesting about a particular car. Unfortunately for the Vee its colour is what defines rarerity, at least amongst Vee owner's that is, and other factors are governed by its mileage and number of owners, and of course whether or not the car has any accident damage.

As such, I will now step back to the sidelines and watch the space

Hi all,

Interesting comments from you and can't say I blame all the guess work :-). To clear the situation up a little explanation is needed. Mike and I are like minded caraholics and I have been a Renault fan for years and only last year sold my 5 Turbo 2 after 8 Years of ownership fun. I have also had an Alpine GTA Atmo, 5 Gordini Turbo, and 18 Turbo over the years. I hankered after a Clio V6 and this one came up from Factory Pilot on another forum so Mike and I went and had a look. He also had another car so we went halves and bought both cars, the Clio going into Mikes name so in fact has not changed hands at all. We absolutely love the car but there are many more flavours to sample and it's as simple as that. There are a total of 7 owners on the registration document including the present keeper Mike. This car is in beautiful condition and a credit to all it's owners and each has polished it to the condition it is in now. This car really is as good as it looks in the pics and has also had the service history bought up to date. Hope this helps.

Trevor.

#133 is the second Vee I test drove when I was looking to buy on in July 2011 - Jim Green was the then owner, and a very fastidious one at that. This Vee was immaculate, but I opted for #002 instead, since it was in equally good condition but, as one of Renault UK's press cars, I felt that #002 had better provenance, and ranked better in my list of priorities.

I believe some of the posts above may come across as being somewhat detrimental towards #133, which may be a touch unjustified, as long as it is in a similar condition to when I viewed the car in July 2011 (had covered 18,500 miles on the clock then).

Yes, #133 has indeed been passed through a few owners' hands, but I am sure it is still in very good condition. However, interested parties may be well advised to scrutinise its service and maintenance history - according to the PH advert the last time this Vee has had a service was in July 2012. As such, IMO the first thing one would need to do is to change all fluids, filters and plugs. Additionally, since there is no mention of whether or not the cam belt had been changed (for the 2nd time), it may be prudent to have a full cam/aux belt kit and water pump (plus clutch and starter motor) replaced as well (i.e. full engine out inspection and replacement of the above).

A good buy for someone looking to hold on for the long term............

Well, Well, Well........ I wonder what she's worth now and where she is.

After selling YA53WOB (#133) in 2011, I just had to return to the forum (7 years later) to see how she is and who own's her now.

Over the years I've moved on through various performance cars and currently driver a 2013 Mercedes C63 AMG. As always..... I joined a forum and recently placed a post about the history of my performance/collectable cars that I've owned prior to the C63, one of the cars that I spoke about was YA53WOB (#133). Of all the cars I've owned, the Clio V6 is now probably worth the most, is the most collectable, and will only be worth more as the years pass bye, infact it's probably worth more than my C63 AMG is at present and that only has 12k on the clock from new and is kept in a heated garage and under a cover and is as mint as the day she left Mercedes.

It was a shame to see how quickly [v6plaque]133[/v6plaque] passed through so many hands, but hey ho, we all move on. She was totally immaculate when I sold her, she'd been entered into various concourse shows and I still have two trophies to proove how well she did. There was no faults with her whatsoever and I just hope she's been kept as well as I kept here.

If she's still out there I'd love to chat with the new owner to catch up.

Here's the recent post I put up on the Mercedes AMG Forum :

sadly the W204 won't be a collector car I think...maybe if you never used it and it stayed in a garage for 25 years? I had a 2015 Edition 507 that I planned to squirrel away, sold it recently though for the reason I've stated to you. I'd just enjoy it!!

Must admit that the Clio is probably the one car in my assorted lot of "modern classics" that I will keep, not just because the values will hopefully remain strong but because it is as mad as a box of frogs and brings a grin to my face whenever I drive it... just had a look at your post and hats off to you sir those are some absolutely mint cars you have owned  . Put me to the top of the list for when you sell the C63 - I'll sell my son to get it ! ;)

I totally agree Mark, the C63 AMG's are a great car, but will never be a real collector car, more like an enthusiasts car.

It's amazing how much the Clio V6 has gone through the roof (Relatively Speaking), it was only 7 years ago that I was finding it had to sell my mint MK2 with just 16k on the clock for £14,000. Now there's hardly any selling for much less than £30k.
