Cheapest ph2 for sale in France at the mo is 50k Euros, which is about 44k.

I'm not sure exactly what they are selling for, but they do seem to sell in the 45-60k Euro bracket!!

If you search 'Gallardo Superleggera' on autotrader - the (non-LP570) LHD ones are £80-90k, whereas the RHD are £125-130k.

Completely arse-backwards from Vee prices... who makes this stuff up?

If they are fetching such high prices in France, has anyone on here tried to sell theirs over there? Wonder what the implications are for selling right hand drive Vs there which have been imported from the UK?!

IIRC a few RHD cars from the UK have ended up in France ... There is a thread somewhere relating to a French owner buying a UK car and coming over to collect it.

I think this was at a time when there was a much bigger price differential in that UK cars were much cheaper than they are today. LHD cars in France have always been tended to be pretty pricey.

Whilst we are still in the EU, there are very little implications for the new owner to register the car over in France. They would need to simply drive it home and then fill in some forms locally to get a carte grise and registration in France. They would need LHD lights and convert the speedo to KM/h.

The biggest hurdle is that RHD is not desirable in France, so its common that they will convert it to LHD. As such, high value cars are not really the cars that go over. Cheap ph1s however have been scooped up many times!

When we leave the EU, chances are that their will be some tax penalties which could potentially make this un-viable.

A better money spinner would be to snap up the LHD cars in Japan and then sell them to France. Easier said that done though.

Lots (well, 5-6) of V6 came to Poland from Japan last year but the prices are even higher than EU cars, because of usually better than above condition and low mileage..

RHD V6 are not desirable here because they are even more difficult drive (ie hard to overtake cars on public roads, lack of visibility), you need to convert and converted cars are automatically considered as least attractive (you never know who converted from RHD to LHD, and how). Half of the V6 market is UK, other half is rest of the world, so probably that's the reason of lower prices in UK.
