Its 12 JUN 19. I am heading off to Lemans via an overnight stay in Dover this evening before an earlyish crossing from Dover --> Calais tomorrow morning then a 4/5h schlep to Lemans via Rouen.

Last year I took my c63- thread is over here : LeMans 2018 - Roadtrip + 1/2

This year we are going in my friends Jag diesel XF which I dont mind one bit as its going to be 60+mpg and we don't travel on the roads the require anything out of the ordinary.

Ill try and document what I have done so far and costs in case anyone is planning on making the pilgrimage next year.

Purchased:
Entry ticket + camping at Beau Se Jour - £116 ish
Ferry crossing - £60 ish ( between two of us )
Overnight stay in Dover £68 ( between two of us )
Emovis ( formerly Sanef ) for the auto toll billing €20 ( returnable with refund )

That is it so far. We have allocated a pool / float / kitty of €30/day for beer / water / food which was easily achieved last year.

Ill add pics as I go along. If you get bored reading, let me know!

Hope weather is better there, than here........two chaps in a tent.......nothing to do........could turn a man .....

Seriously, can't beat a road trip, much less stress than going anywhere with shackles, if they want to go/do something you don't want to, you can tell them just fuck off......no offence taken, only yourself to feed and water......heaven.

I was heading home at the time you were on the M25, its always dog shit at the time of the day heading to Ashford. How were the road works on the M20?

The liquid "lunch" looks tasty 😬
