hey guys, cant find anything on the search...
so here it goes
my dash light is like going on and off (STOP + battery one) for a while
and now, the other lights(SERV and the ABS) is on

it just goes on and off continuously, i have renault checked on it and along with everything else to make sure its ok
they diagnoised alternator problem leads to a battery problem now
they said there's a coil problem too(well i just think the battery goin flat soon, so there are misfire once, therefore the code, it drives fine)

the price of alternator is too much quoted by hk renault, like 450 quid with labour

i got the car back, drove to my mechanic and see if overhaul is possible...

anyone has this problem before? how much have u guys pay for the alternator or have it fixed?
Please let me know, its urgent!
Thank you all!

it also included a low battery symptoms
(slow windows operations, my valentine 1 going crazy(low power) when a/c was on, and so on, also, its the STOP+battery is on first...)

so i guess that loose wire maybe not it? i will ask my mech to take a look tho
thanks!

battery is like 8 months old
will battery fail that quick?
maybe i will give that a check up also
well but renault is saying the alternator, i wonder what's the prove too...
damn u guys got quick replies!
thanks

You can try to fully charge your battery with a charger. Then you should not have problems driving for a day...
If you still have problems once it's charged (and keeps the voltage), it's probably something else than the alternator...
