Alarm wont set?

Hello, Ive just tried locking my vee up tonight and the alarm just wont set for some reason, it locks then about 2-3 seconds later a constant buzz/beep just keeps happening until I press the plip again? I haven’t fiddled with anything and its always worked fine.

Just wondered if anyone’s had a similar problem and could give me a few tips!

the car senses that one of the doors, bonnet or tailgate is not shut. check the switches are in good working order and they are contacting when the door etc is closed

I’ve discovered the problem! A careful check all around the car and appears that the bonnet sensor that sits in the grille has partly broken. It’s the little pin that sits up until the bonnet is closed making it to touch the sensor! The wiring etc is all ok, but just missing that black pushy pin thingy... if that makes sense!

Any ideas where I can get a new one from? I’ve looked on Ebay but had no luck. Don’t really wanna go down to Renault, the cars kept in a garage at night but want it sorted soon as really!

Any ideas of anyone would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Give renault a try mate, they may not be too exspensive. or scrap yard, should be the same as shopping models

Got it sorted in the end! Well... nearly! A mission to Renault, which..... well.... i guess you can imagine, probably the easiest part to order at Renault! And Im just about ready for a vacation! Had no patients with them that day. They couldn’t find the part on the computer, so they said they'd ring me back soon. 2 days later I received a call this afternoon, saying they've found the part and have ordered it. So fingers crossed its the right part! Think its about £11 so not too bad.
