chaps, looking for a spot of help to set up a carb afr.

im running a t3 hybrid turbo, and 285 piper cams. carb has been overhauled so its all clean and good.

to get the idle afr to around 13.8 the adjustment screw is almost all the way out

how do i rectivy this so i still have some adjustment in it?

have hunted for an answer and i cant see anything thats clear black and white.

thanks in advance for any advice

1st things first idle speed needs to be set correctly, too high and your off the idle cct.

Check idle jet size is correct and not drilled out and check fuel is not pissing into the venturi from other parts of the carb i.e. acc pump jet gasket dripping.

sparkie did the overhaul so im assuming its all good, idle i sweet and it sits fine but i think the idle screw is that far out it could jump out the carb!

id rather enlargen the hole if i can which was my thinking or try to buy another already enlargened to swap out

appreciate the help
