Hi folks,
havent been on here in a while as i've remained renaultless since the rsi got sold. That hasn't changed but tomorrow i pick up my new car and am after a bit of advise r.e. tuning;
basically i've chopped in my 1.8 pretrol mondeo for the 2.2 turbo diesel model with 155bhp as standard. That'll probably keep me happy initially but i'm already exploring some modifications...mainly remapping...
Now, best/easiest option seems to be a blue fin but at £400 is rather expensive. Significantly less are the tuning boxes you can buy which offer the same gain.
My question is, does anyone have experience of using turbo diesel tuning boxes? I don't want to fit one only to suffer injector failure or some other disaster! How safe are they?
I've already checked the ford forums but would appreciate your opinions, given that i know various people on here and their technical knowledge.
