i have been with adrian flux many years on my other renault ( R17ts turbo ) as it is somewhat modified , also with the clio now , have always found them helpful , even when the french recovery people refused to recover the car back to the uk , :approve:

I got a follow up call from one of your guys today as a result of a query on a separate thread ...

I still find the whole thing a little vague though as I was told that my 'discount' which was referred to as modifications/club discount amounted to £270 and that my net renewal premium would be £473. This is a competative final figure but the discounting mechanism is not very transparent. Last week I was told I had been given a 10% club discount and that my premium would be £479.

I am also still at a loss as to where the 'PFC' branding and discounting fits in. Do I make the assumption that only 1 discount must apply and that if you are a club member then the PFC discount is irrelevant or is each scheme a small incremental discount ? It would surely be easier to simply publish discounts for each scheme. Having said that though discounts are only as good as the integrity of the non-discounted figure and I would not have been impressed with a non-discounted renewal quote of £743 (£473 + £270). Although Direct Line quoted me £1400 - the most expensive quote I have had in my life for any car at any age :rofl:

In summary though Adrian Flux came up with the most competative final quote this year so idependantly of the vagueness, the final premiums seem to be pretty good :approve:
