Acid yellow

Yes its [v6plaque]290[/v6plaque]

been up for sale a few times over the past years. gorgeous colour.

[v6plaque]290[/v6plaque] has been listed on eBay at least a couple of times before: October 2012 (Acid yellow for sale £20,000) & June 2016 (Acid yellow on ebay), not a bad increase if the asking price of £45,750 holds true this time.

The bottom line price in 2012 was £19K, but it remains to be seen whether the seller is really keen to sell....

PS: Seems like there is a mistake in the register info - says ".......purchased new on 01/07/2016".

A lot of money (shouldn't moan) for not particularly low mileage and a "debatable colour" - I personally dislike it!

Good luck to him!

Couldn't agree more lol

It does upset me every time I see one come up for sale, knowing that I'll never be able to afford to buy another :(

Hard to chose between that and the liquid yellow...both look stunning to me. What a shame Renault never did the Phase 1 in the Trophy racing yellow. If they had done just a few of those they would be very sought-after today, I'll bet.

Funny guy!

Always very interesting to read the old threads especially when it was up for sale at £20k and so many people said they would love to buy it but didn't....... and not wishing to rub it in but especially Chris admitting he offered £18k and was refused.....no wonder it "upsets you" now!
You should have just paid the asking price like I did for mine even though my seller then put the price up by £1500, one week AFTER we agreed the sale. It grated to pay up at the time but when you set your heart on something super rare then sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and go for it.
Carpe Diem !

From what I remember at the time, 2 people offered him the full asking price & he didn't sell. Think he was testing the market.

As a soon to be owner, I find this amusing...sorry but much as a love the V6 and I really do love the v6...there is not a hope in hell of him getting anywhere near that price.

I recon he will get close. How many 1 owner Acid Yellow Vees are left, that have been garaged all their life and not used in winter, or at least, on salty roads? Chances are it's going to be in excellent condition under the bonnet and underneath, which many aren't now.

I don't understand why he hasn't had the small dent removed (£150 with paintless dent puller blokes) and had the wheels refurbished to make it mint again.

There is some competition for it in the shape of a Liquid Yellow car, although that has a high mileage (for a Vee) and 4 owners, so not really in the same class.

The LY seems better priced though, I think the acid colour is a brave decision and I can't see it selling. Is it wrong of me to always look at the surroundings of where a car is being photographed? If it's a nice big house you think it must have been cherished, if it's outside an ex council house you think 'hmmmmm'.
