I have my ABS light on and have the following blink codes
21 (main Solenoid Valve) where is this? is it the multipin on the back of the ABS pump? if so that has been changed to no avail
34 (rear lh sensor open circuit). have checked it and its about 1060 ohms values between 800 - 1400 ohms are quoted as normal
35 (front lh sensor open circuit) or intermittant short or wrong air gap above 25mph . again checked resistance at 1060 ohms and checked for short to earth which was OK
38 (rear lh sensor open circuit) or intermittant short or wrong air gap above 25mph . again checked resistance at 1060 ohms and checked for short to earth which was OK
when checking the continuity at the ECU connector one pin did not have a reading which was for the outer sheath of the nsr sensor so i assumed there must be a wiring problem, it was ok from the drivers rear footwell to the multi pin plug but from the foot well to the connector there was no continuity so i checked the wire and the portion above the exhaust looked in bad condition and when i stripped the insulation the inner wire just crumbled, i recon it must have been to do with the heat of the exhaust, anyway i soldered in a new piece of wire and BINGO the light went out. i drove it to erase the fault codes and there were none left so i assume that the ecu will store ALL codes if there is just one fault.
I thought i would tell the story just in case anyone else gets the same problem and all the ABS sensors check out OK
fyi the pins on the ECU connector are as follows
nsf 27 & 45
osf 28 & 46
nsr 29 & 47
osr 30 & 48
the inner part of the coaxial cable is the bottom row from45 to 48 so the pins 27 to 30 are more likely to go as they are the outer sheathing, the one that was the problem was 29
apologies for posting here if it is the wrong place but i cannot post in any other area as they are coming up private and i have asked the moderators why and have not yet recieved and answer...
