Well, given it was a scorcher today, I felt today was the day to give my Vee a long, much needed overhaul from the longggggggg winter it has had to endure up North living in cold and snowy conditions for what seems like months 
The splitter has been driving me mad on the Vee :evil: the condition of it was pretty appalling, mostly due to the really bad winter we have endured up here, but also because of the condition of the shitty lane I live on with nasty horse crap and mud for what seems like 365 days a year - GGRRRRRRRRR.........
Anyway, managed to get the splitter off and it's condition was dire, but my Vee breathed a sigh of relief (and so did I) cause I was embarassed at driving him round with it in this condtion...made me feel guilty tbh....stunning car and appalling splitter.....
Anyway....spent most of the morning sanding down the splitter with my sand-critter, and got a really good nice smooth finish to it, then applied 7 coats of wood preserve to it and left it to dry in the sunny garden, whilst I went to clean the Vee
Must admit, even at this stage the splitter looked a million times better than when I took it off.....
Then it was onto the Vee, I was determined to spend hours on him getting his paintwork looking the "dogs danglies!". I power washed the paintwork first, then did my usual "meguires" washing routine on him. I dried off the bodywork and then applied to each individual panel a coating of illiad-paint & colour restorer. Whilst that was drying I went round and tyre-dressed each of the wheels and arches. Once the restorer was dry, I buffed it off with my meggies lint-free cloths and to each panel I buffed up, then applied a generous coating of "liquid wax" and then went and made a well deserved coffee whilst this was drying.... :wink:
I must admit, I have never used this product before - and I was totally blown away with the results [smilie=drunken_smilie1.gif] ......which the following pictures clearly demonstrate......the colour and depth of the shine on the paintwork was absolutely amazing....the bodywork feels like it's coated in glass.......

So, all-in-all a very productive day for the Vee and I must admit, I am over the moon with the results. Oh and I also did all the upholstery and interior with silicone coating too..!! :approve: Just need to finish the splitter which I am going to take my time with, to make sure the finish is worthy of going back on my super-shiny-clean Vee...!! hahaha!
He's sat outside now with a BIG SMILEY face and glad he's been treated to a day at the Vee spa...!! PMSL...!!!
