A Coil Virgin No More!

Having owned the vee for under two weeks, I've had smiles all round. I gave the vee a good wash on thursday, noticed my rear lights haven't been working, so browsing the forum I diagnosed it as a faulty reverse light switch.
Nipped down to the local dealer and they had one in stock, £21 and off I went to fix it. Easier said than done.. Didn't have a socket that was big enough to fit over the top of the switch, so after 15 minutes of awkward spanner prising, it was done. Reverse lights now working.

Next problem.. Coil!

Jumped in the vee last night and pop goes my coil cherry. Luckily had a spare, and after endless time of removing/replacing coils, it turned out to be the 5th coil I tried. Job done. The engine management light is still on, I see it says in the knowledge base roughly 50 miles for it to go off. What's everyone's experiences with this?

Just out of interest, one of the coils has a 'pearl' top to it, is this an original coil?

This is a new coil

It's one for a late Citroen C6 V6 engine.

Luke the pearl topped coil is one I put on, it I got it off another member on the forum and had no problem with it.

Ah ha, cheers for that, thought I'd ask out of interest, as the others all appear the same. Light went off 20 miles later.

Cracking car again Sam :approve: Did you get the lotus you wanted?
