yes it will fit in mate, you will get away with useing your loom because a 5 turbo is very basic electrics wise , doesnt have a ecu (its got a carb), and yes you could use the gear box you already have
Its not a straight fit but its simple done , use 5 gt front engine and gearbox mounts you'll have to drill the clio subframe, use the 19 16valve rear gearbox mount and bracket, the loom is straight forward the gt engine is carbed get it power, spark and fuel. I used a modified SPI loom with the injection part chopped out
you will need a bit more than just the engine mate , engine , turbo , down pipe , rad, hoses, intercooler, boost hoses ,carb, carb top etc .then you gota think about pumping fuel
you would need the AEI unit to , wich is the coil, not sure how much pressure your original pump would suply. you would probly need the fuel pressure reg to
just been on another forum and they reccomend the williams or RSI lump instead. im guessing ill need the engine, loom and ECU for that? assuming my JB1 box fits straight to it?
The RSi Lump would be a nice quick simple conversion, they are also fun and torquey engines. You could use your original loom with minor tweeks. You would need ECU for the RSi engine. 1.4 box will fit straight to it. Hope this helps.
