5000 miler on pistonheads cheap

Yea seen this one before on eBay. Bids only got to about £10.5 then it disappeared!!. 6 months ago it was up for sale I think.

4 times I've seen this for sale in the last 2 1/2yrs with same pics,I'm sure the first time one of the pics had canary wharf in the back ground.

As I read in one of the motoring publications about a 6 weeks ago, this guy does have a collection of cars. He stated in the article that "the Clio V6 is the one like I like the least. I may part exchange it for something else". So I am not surprised he has listed the Vee for that price.

Didnt seem to be the sort of chap who likes to drive his cars as they should be driven, but rather service and polish them and store them in lock ups in and around London.

This is the article I was referring to: Retro Cars - Oct 2011

Should have added that he mods some of his cars as well.....

Interesting that the writeup appeared in a mag showcasing "modified classics".

Interesting short read Dulan :)

Indeed Shaun. If I recall correctly the article spanned 3 or 4 pages. Although a photo of the Vee was included, the writeup had only a paragraph or so devoted to the car, moving swiftly on to his other exotics. He did have some exotic cars, and the Vee seemed a bit out of place (i.e. newer than the others), which is probably why he did not appreciate it enogh.

I came across this article too. The guy described the car as 'boring' and his least favourite if I remember. Ok, not everyone will like these cars, but anyone who knows about cars would never describe it as that. Surprising considering he owns so many. Come to think, even if you dont know about cars I doubt it would ever be described as boring. Rubbish write up!

Strange but probably a case of looks raising expectations and then taking it for a ride deflated them.

Kind of like Cheryl Cole.
