4 Year Servicing Costs

Anyone got any figures, dealer or otherwise, for 4 year service costs ?

I got a dealer quote today - with some discount for the service being 4 years ...

The breakdown is ...

The parts cost is £235.70 and labour cost £213.44 leaving a full total of £449.14 ...

By supplying my own oil (which I always do) and knocking off the air filter (I have a Pipercross) - the cost comes down by around £138 - but still works out about £312 ... I may be able to negotiate reduced labour because there should be no need to remove the full engine covers to get at the air filter, which must be a fair chunk of the labour cost.

Are all you guys having a full 4 year service as above ?

My last service which included the following below, cost me £153.54. This was at RS Tuning in Leeds

1. Check all levels>tyres>pressures
2. Check electrics.
3. Check anitfreeze strength.
4. Drain and refill engine oil. Replace oil filter. Replace pollen filter.
5. Check all brake pads.
6. Lubricate door locks and hinges.
7. Check exhaust emissions.
8. Roadtest.

Parts used:

A. Oil Filter.
B. Screen wash.
C. Engine oil (5W-40)
D. Pollen filter.
E. Anitfreeze.
F. Sundries.

They also fitted a new air filter which I supplied (included in the price above).
