3 bar map sensor?!?!

I was looking at possibly upgrading the standard map sensor to a 3 bar item.
Ive been reading through some previous posts about this swap but would like a bit more advice
I know you need a remap to run the 3 bar so was just wondering if it would be ok with a chipped ecu??
I have a nick hill ecu and will be fitting some 357's (just waiting for tho's)

Would i be wasting my time fitting the 3 bar with this set up or would it be a worthy upgrade allowing me to run more boost?

cheers

A standard ecu wont be able to understand the values of a 3 bar, and will cause some interesting and crazy characteristics.
Remap or standalone is 100% needed.

Even if you use a 3 bar map sensor with a "chipped" standard ECU it could still not understand the voltages per preassure the sensor gives out unless the base settings (bin & XDF files) have been adjusted to suit. To adjust these settings the programmer would have to have "hacked"/ cracked the coding and there are very few people that still around who have or could do this, so best bet is to stay within the cabilitys of standard ECU with just the fueling and timing changed which is what most chips have had done or go stand alone route which can be time comsuming to get right.

Calibrates to any MAP sensor you like....

Very useful. Cheap in the big picture, but not cheap when you hand over the ???'s lol
