#294 Detail

I decided that my rudimentary car cleaning skills were not doing #294 justice so set out to find a practitioner of the black art of detailing to see what could be done. Sadly, our own MagpieV6 master detailer is just too damn far from Edinburgh so after a bit of searching around I found a detailer that I was comfortable with and confident they would deliver (Ron at AutoBath Detailing, Dunbar, East Lothian).

Ron is a genuine enthusiast who runs an RS Megane (immaculate of course!) and scary attention to detail [smilie=icon_eek.gif] I think it goes with the territory... After a week of looking at the empty car parking space, last night I collected the vee and to say I was happy would be an understatement - I now see what the black art of detailing brings to the party and I like it!

Lots of before/in progress/after pics on the Autobath Facebook page (public so no account needed - afraid I don't know how to create a link :ihatpcs: ) but I stopped by my go to garage, Rentec, on the way home for a quick photobomb

Having the Vee nice and shiny again has given me a renewed passion for these cars. It's no garage queen and will continue to be driven but great feeling knowing it's looking its best once again. I'm even inspired to finally fit the rubber aerial gasket which I have embarrassingly had lying around for years!

Colin - it'd be unfair of me to state cost and I'd recommend getting in touch for a quote. I got a preferrential rate as he was eager to get the opportunity to work on a Vee :approve:
