HELP ME PLEASE I LOVE IT AND DONT WANA HAVE TO SELL IT!

Hi Rick, :D

I think the best thing for you to do, is to read through some of the previous posts on here regarding insurance

Reason I say that, is that there seems to be members on here who have all had their fair share of insurance nightmares regarding quotes....whether it be because of age, location or driving convictions....but there's lots of really good suggestions on here, from the guys in terms of where to try...

My biggest issue has been my location (postcode is in the top 5 worst ones in the country.. ) But, I have tried nearly all the well-known insurance companies going and got quotes ranging from £2500 to £679 - in the end it was a local insurance company who ended up coming up trumps with the cheapest quote, so it doesn't always pay to go with the big companies like.....Elephant, Churchill, Admiral etc....,

I would suggest you try Bell...these guys seem to be really good for young drivers, especially if you have no, no-claims etc., I would give them a call....

I hope you get sorted, it would be a real shame if you had to sell your Vee.... It might take a while before you get the best policy, but keep at it and I am sure you will get sorted soon....!!! :D

GOOD LUCK....!!! :thumright:

Thanx very much for that
im going to try my local broker in town in the morning and see what they can do

At the risk of sounding like "an old fart", why would you buy a car before checking out insurance prices?

never done that myself....

good luck though mate, but it sounds like it might be expensive?? :(

Have you tried http://www.confused.com yet?

whats insurance like on one of them? got any pics?

Word of warning if your having trouble with insurance a modified car will limit your options. Modified grp17 may be as expensive as a standard grp20.

Sure Pauls car is very nice tho. I've heard others say it is VERY quick. I just don't want you to fall into the same issue again.

Peter :D

Yup it's quick :)

However i can put it back to standard except the exhaust. All bits will come with the car

Cheers

Paul

Think im going to insure it for a month and then sell it and find something a bit cheaper to insure
so whats it worth?
it's a standard 2004 225 black 18k miles full leather all the options that i know of
