21 turbo/volvo 440 turbo conversion

hi people with knowledge can anyone tell me how much work is needed to put a 21 turbo or a volvo 440 turbo into r 19 16v chammy any help would be great cheers

21 turbo - LOTS

Volvo 440 turbo - not much at all.

its a F type 1.7 (F2N/F3N) as found in 19s, 5s and 21s, with a volvo fettled head and turbo setup.

right so is a straight foward swap whats the catch as you can tell i dont no much about this ect but im depretly trying to find a turbo'd engine that is pretty simple to fit to my 19

Only factory turbo'd engines that are an easy fit are the C1J and F2N/F3N lumps as fitted to the 5 GT Turbo and Volvo 440 Turbo.

so without people gettin pissed off with me a volvo 440 turbo will fit in a 19 what about the electrics engine mounts ect ect it cant be a straight swap can it

Electrics would need adapting as the Volvo lump runs injection.

It should go in on the 19's mounts as the bottom end is the same as used in the N/A version of the 1.7 as fitted to the GTX's.

I think if you have the volvo loom, ECU etc it would just be a case of connecting a few wires to the 19's loom to make it work.

would have to sort out a suitable downpipe/ exhaust setup too
