2 problems

Car is runnig great but one or two problems. 2 coils have gone (easy fix) and now the N/S headlamp is getting condensasion in.
I know its normal to expect some condensation but the N/S is alot worse than the O/S. Lastly the reverse light switch is tempremental so that will need replacing. I think the part number is 8200008194

5 and a half years old now, starting to need so TLC.

Anyone else have any probs at the 5 year mark?

20k and none to report apart from 2 coils recently, so replaced all 6. Touch wood!

Reversing switch is dead common problem ... I had two done whilst still under warranty! Hence, I'd say the only "real" problem you've got is the headlamp which isn't too bad .

Ironically mine had its first coil go the other week, a week before its 5th birthday (and approaching 36k miles) :rofl:.

My first coil was around it 5 year. Always have spare ones in the boot. Oh im on 18500 miles

MInes just ticked onto 39k and i've never changed a coil in a year and half yet!

Mines just started to get a nasty metally noise in the exhaust on tickover so might need to replace that cheapest i've found is k-tec at nearly £600! [smilie=icon_eek.gif]

Mine was five years old in Feb got a headlamp washer jet replaced last week as it was leaking and my reverse light does not come on ( reverse light switch??) other than that no problems.

On the whole the vee is quite a reliable motor and most problems are niggles or wear'n'tear.
