[2 Jul, 2016] ClioSport/TurboRenault NATIONAL EVENT (Gainsborough)

thank you jesus the 2nd for the video of me @6 min mark.i had so much fun on track even if i was not pushing the limits (it is my every day car after all)
the only complaint i have is it only happens once a year :ak:

That Clio was freakin rapid!

Due to other commitments i haven't had the time to write a review yet, so i'll do a little one now.

I had an absolutely awesome weekend with even more awesome people, the Friday night was by far the best night of the whole weekend, chatting and drinking beer with you lot was more than worth the drive!

Although i didn't take my car down on track the day after didn't mean i didn't enjoy myself, looking at other people going down and especially listening to Brigsy's van screaming (literally) around the track was well worth coming over too!

Only downside i could think of is the food i got after, seriously is that what London people ate years ago? Looked like it has be regenerated for a few times and then warmed up again :P Luckily Brigsy's 'rapid delivery pizza van' came to save us :D

Next morning was one of packing up tents and leaving to Santa pod, which tbh, as an event on it's own, was way more interesting than Blyton. But that's inherent to the size and organisation of the event. This last day was awesome too, seeing all the modified retro cars (have only seen a few standard cars) certainly drew my attention, even though i'm driving a pretty modern hack now doesn't mean the older ones interest me less. And Robbie and Andy going down the track was awesome to see/hear/feel too, man Robbies car flies!!!

Ending the day with a diner at Beefeater next to the hotel, together with Audrey & Robbie, was lovely too. To end of with an early trip to bed to be fresh and safe for the drive over the next day. Luckily driving back we almost had no traffic at all so where well in time for the ferry.

1000+ miles later all i can say is, thank you for this awesome weekend!!!! And it would be a pleasure to meet you guys more often!
