The ign coils are a problem on the 24 v6 in laguna and clio, you will get a coil gone down. if you look at the coils you are looking for a blue spot this means it the new type and as yet a we have not seen any more problems.
might be worth checking yours.

3rd coil went last week so just had them all replaced, one question the engine warning light is still lite up, how do i get this to go off? last time i had a guy come in and he charged me £40 to take it off but im sure i read somewhere it goes off automatically after a while or am i wrong?

Well 2 of my coils went at the same time [smilie=icon_eek.gif] [smilie=icon_eek.gif] once I'd fitted the new ones it took a few days of running around before the light went out :s but it did eventually fix itself [smilie=icon_cheers.gif]

From what people are saying though you can fit new coils (e.g. even the ones with blue spots), but they could still also break / fail again?

I was going to fit trophies but then was told its not a simple swap e.g. some soldering is required?

Ok it might not take a genius to do it but my dealer (as in only dealer cos there is one in Hong Kong) said they would not fit them for me if thats what is required.
