1990 Ph2 Tungsten Grey Quadra

Right peeps, another one selling up :icon_rolleyes: But, I just don't have the time or the cash to run 2 cars.

1990 phase 2 Quadra in Tungy grey, with 12 months MOT from today, which was believed at one point to be one of only two (correct me if I'm wrong) with air con. Unfortunately the condenser was shot and it was missing most of the pipework. All the electrics are still there and I still have the compressor.
Overall condition is above average but it does need a little attention in some area's.
I'll list the faults first then you won't have to read through it all if you're not interested :icon_razz:

Faults -
1.Turbo coolant pump has a slight weep so would prob need replacing
2.Drivers sill is showing a patch of rust so I guess it'll need doing at some point.
3.Drivers door has a small bit of rust coming through at the bottom.
4.Drivers side rear door has a small patch of rust coming through.
5.There is some rust coming through where there was a dent under the rear pass side light cluster.
6.Slight bit of rust on the front pass wing.
7.A few specks of rust on the nose cone from stone chips.
8.Rear pass side door solenoid needs attention/replacing
9.Drivers side window switches need attention/replacing
10.Sunroof doesn't work :icon_eek: but it doesn't leak either :icon_biggrin:
11.Pass side H/light is in excellent condition but needs re-sealing. Water keeps getting in.
12.Driver side H/light reflective plastic (good spare supplied if needed) is a little faded and the H/light needs re-sealing.
13.Rear drivers side indicator lense has a hole/chip in it. Still flashes orange so passed the MOT.
14.17 inch Team Dynamics alloys are straight but would def benefit from a refurb.
15.Drivers door solenoid is a bit 'lazy' and the ignition key will only unlock the drivers door

And now for the GOOD BITS

1.Twelve months MOT from today 28th October 2009
2.NEW pass side rear caliper
3.NEW handbrake cables 55 from Renault
4.NEW rear pads
5.NEW front discs
6.NEW rear bearings (both sides) Car has been 4 wheel laser aligned since they were fitted.
7.NEW oil in rear diff
8.NEW water pump
9.NEW timing belt (genuine renault) and tensioner
10.Engine oil,oil filter and coolant changed
11.NEW rotor arm,dist cap,leads and coil
12.BOTH front inner wings welded - good qulaity job
13.BOTH front jacking points welded - good quality job
14.Passenger side outer sill welded - high quality job
15.BOTH rear arches are still solid. NO rust bubbles!
16.Front to back brake pipe replaced with copper
17.ALL rear solid brake pipes replaced with copper
18.Prop shaft reconditioned
19.Oil cooler pipes reconditioned by Pirtek including new 'o' rings and using new braided pipe and the proper renault fittings

Mod's -
1.Hybrid turbo - 2WD Cossie spec with -34 actuator
2.Dawes device fitted, running approx 16psi
3.2 1/2 inch stainless exhaust with DEVIL stainless backbox
4.Large Dump valve - does what it should!
5.Massive air filter - bought from the good ol' US of A
6.Braided turbo oil feed hose
7.Slimline fans
8.In car fan overide switch fitted
9.Additional boost gauge fitted, reads in Psi
10.Secret fuel pump kill switch
11.Sigma M series alarm and immobiliser complete with spare fob

Can either come with or without the following spares -

H/light reflective plastics x2
H/light glass x2
Inlet manifold with throttle body and injectors
Inlet plenum - drilled for dump valve take off
Prop shaft - will need reconditioning
Air con compressor
Sub frame bushes x4
Sub frame bush bolts and nuts x4
Sub frame bush bolt clips x2
Track rod end x1
Bottom ball joint x1
Anti roll bar bushes x4
Pin and collar set for ONE door
And last but not least...A NICK HILL RACING camshaft

The car runs nicely, good water temp and good oil pressure. Turbo boosts well and doesn't smoke.Speedo is a little shakey and the starter sometimes does the 'clicky' thing. I haven't really driven the car in the last 2 years and it's not taxed at the moment so I can't give it a lengthy road test. It behaved fine on the 10 mile round trip to and from the MOT centre.

Forgot to say, 1 new tyre on rear pass side for MOT, other rear is good but the front two will need replacing in the near future.

Just noticed I'd forgotten to mention that at some point someone repaired the right hand corner of the rear bumper, you can see it in the 3rd pic. It's not the best repair but it's not completely gash either :)

Tony Smiths old Quadra wasn't it?

I owned its 2wd sister, H462 GLA in silver, rot got the better of her though.
 
My first 21 turbo was a tungston Grey quadra on a "G" plate - cost me ?2,250 back in '98 - sold it in 2000 for ?1,750 - that was good car & chuffing quick....:icon_twisted:

would you do a swap without spares for a bmw 318tds touring n reg moted n taxed with 115000 miles
 
If its no **** einstein, then why bother asking? or was it you couldn't be arsed to read the thread.

Seen as its only three posts up the a little lazy.
