197 seats in a V6

Have just purchased some clio 197 recaro's, does anyone know if they will fit straight into a mk2 vee or will i need special subframes. I'm led to believe they wont fit but i've just read a post saying they will so a bit confused now.

There's a thread on here somewhere.. a couple of the guys have them!
 
Cheers guys, didnt think they would fit.
Anyone know the part no. for the subframes or do the 197 ones need drilled etc?

p.s. of course you can have the 197 subframes for £50 each Shaun. :wink:

As Ali said, Peter255 has them in his Illiad.. very nice they look too! And comfy!!! :D
 
I had some for mine out of a 197 - they wont fit in straight with 197 subframes and will require new Clio V6 ones.

Are the 197 seats a direct order from Renault (thinking very £££) or did you get them from a salvage?

Could the subframes off the old seats be used?

Bought them from a member on here (Paul Woodcock), look like they've never been sat in, i think they cost about 2k from Renault!
Its cheaper to buy standard sportster cs's but the ones from Renault have the Renaultsport logos on.

Yep - but you knacker your old seats and plus the 197s are quite high and bolted on to the standard seats frames, I'm not sure if they would actually fit in the car.

Matt, is it the standard sportster cs subframes i need? spoke to capital seating and they were unsure if they would fit the OEM recaro seats.

Appreciate your help mate.
 
nice seats mate, im wanting a set of these at some point, make sure you post some pics up when they are fitted!! :approve:

Hi, TBH I'm not sure which frame fits them (recaro website may be able to tell you). I sold mine before fitting them.

it is - put it drivers side - take passenger seat out, leave passenger at roadside, worth at least 10bhp and cheap
