the answer is yes and no depending on who programmed the chips.
Remember a few years back we had a guy from ebay who sold chips for the 19 16v ecu and sent some to us for testing, i found some of his did not work on certain revisions of the ecu, iirc he managed to sort out the issues between revisions in the end.
