hi guys, is there anyone who works in a turbo refurbing place as i require a turnbuckle to fit a collins -31 actuator but no one wants to sell me one, this is the bit that goes on the end of the rod, want to fit this but just need a buckle to complete thats all.
they are normally a few quid but...

right, bit of an update really. i've checked all the pipework going from the amal valve to actuator to boost pipe etc and all is good:mrgreen: also connected an electric tyre pump to the actuator pipe and i could see the arm sliding out and back in smoothly so i assume its...
Just thinking about if i actually do need to replace it. my cars symptoms are that when you push the go pedal to the floor the boost keeps rising to a point where the car splutters etc etc.
is this a symptom of a knackered actuator?
or could it be the pipe to the actuator is broken thus not...
First of all has anyone got one for sale at a reasonable price?
Second whats the best one to go for?
(Forge do them but all they seem to list now is adjustable ones????)
Thirdly if i can find one on ebay is it the Escort RST one i should be looking for?

hi all,im curious as to what a 31 actuator would do? can it make much of a difference,are they pricey and are they all the same i.e could i buy any 31 actuator or would i need a certain type.

how do you remove the actuator?i've taken the 2 screws that hold it on but what do i do after that,seems like an easy job but yet its not coming off lollol :lol: can anyone help me :wink: :?
Well as usual nothing is ever simple
just fitted a bleed valve and removed 1st gear limiter :D
and what happens boost maxes out at 13psi :( even with the valve open fully. Its time to replace the actuator plus invest in a dump valve that is not standard this should sort it!! :twisted:
