Si's Ph2 225 Lux.. slowly getting there!

It’s taken alot of mishaps over the years to learn how to paint them well! haha

looking good fella. We have spoken on RSMegane.com site :ds:

Cheers mate.. and hello again!

Just posted a problem on there funnily enough haha

Hi mate,

Did have have the Brembo’s painted red your self or were they like that when you bought the car?

Feel free to post on here as well  More info the better

Was a window problem…

Gave up in the end and took it to an auto electrician, who finally managed to find a very small split in a wire behind the dash

Also replaced the regulator with a slightly different design one that no longer bolts to the door card and helps keep them from getting soaked so hopefully no issues again in the future

Hi Mate..

They were red when i bought the car but have since redone them myself

Done a nice job matie

So not had many updates for a long old while now. Cars not really been used and just parked up in the garage

Have been collecting this little lot over the last month to rebuild the front end:

  • R26 Shocks
  • Espace balljoints
  • Powerflex black series front arm bushes
  • Powerflex purple rear arm bushes
  • Powerflex ARB bushes
  • Hub Bearings
  • Drop Links
  • Torque Links

Hopefully this will all be on and fitted along with full alignment this weekend

Did take it for an outing before taking it off the road the other weekend so just a few pics from not so sunny Cornwall

And an accidental tripod  :

So all the above is on and fitted, with a few issues along the way. The drivers side top hub bearing was ruined so a spare hub was fitted with new bearing.

A few pictures:

The old bearings were destroyed:

And some nice new parts:

Powerflex rear bushes fitted:

and the fronts:

and some nice new R26 shocks with new droplinks:

The car now drives like a totally different car, everything is so tight

Not updated on here for awhile and seems i managed to lock myself out of my other account!
The car has barely been used, clocking only 3k between MOT’s, i have had a spare set of wheels for awhile and decided to try them in Renault Capsicum Red. Bought some paint and gave them a go myself, the finish isnt great so will be redoing them now i have decided i like them:

I have also played around tinting the side indicators and will probably try the headlights soon to see if i like it with a very light smoke

Also fitted a cheapy ebay Rhino lip splitter to the front as the standard one was pretty rough and a new reverse camera in a registartion plate surround to tidy that up. Upgraded the discs and pads to Performance Frixtion Z rated and Brembo HC discs up front

While changing the wheels i noticed this, a nice snapped Cooksport spring :worried: :

Now Cooksport are out of stock and with having track time booked at Trax this year i have just ordered a set of Grams springs from Kam Racing which will be here Monday. looking forward to trying these out as reviews are great!

@andybond any chance of resetting the password on my old account? I dont have access to the old email address anymore so i can’t! :frowning:

Just spent half hour reading this thread and what a joy its been!

Cars come along way since you first had it and looks fantastic now, its a credit to you.

@roland rat Appreciated Thanks Mate

Heard a few cook sport springs snap… but for the performance/cost can you complain??

No complaints here.. only complaint is that I can’t replace them and no replies as to when they are in stock

Customer service is next to perfect. Replace without quibble.

Ended up buying a set of headlights off ebay to replace a cracked one. The lenses were pretty rubbish when they arrived so fitted them and set about restoring them:

Wet sanded with 400, 800, 1500 and 2500 grit sandpaper. Compounded with Meguiars ultimate compound finished with Meguairs M105 and sealed with meguiars headlight coating to protect for now

Springs have arrived so hoping to get these all on and it back on the road ASAP
