RS250 Cup

Looks awesome ! Did you find out why it bent a rod?

Not sure for certain although I had water ingestion over two years ago so that could of weakened it then it finally gave up.

Not bad considering it done around 50k, loads of trackdays and general abuse. Pretty lucky it didn’t happen out at the Ring tbf, The car would probably still be out there if it had

Didn’t know you where a member on here aswell, still waiting for more info on your setup and dyno graphs!

All the best people are on here @tutuur

Final update for 2016.

Bought a set of AST’s and a rear cage for it, Pretty much finished the big upgrades now, Anything else from now on will be mainly making the current setup as efficient as possible and consumables.

Still fapping over the shifter, please hold any further updates till im finished

Got some better photos last night with the new wheels

Had it out at Knockhill this week, ASTs feel good out the box but could do with some tweaks. Had some pretty serious brake issues up front as well but other than that it ran well

Looks smashing in that colour and on the AST’s

Was just about to comment how your car just seems effortless in passing other cars! Then I saw this.

Ah yeah, that’ll be it! (y)(y)(y)

Have a pile of bits waiting to get fitted afyer the weekend for my Spa and Ring trip next weekend

Fresh calipers all round, front discs, front and rear pads, RST3 and RS44s respectively, Ti brake shims, full fluids change, AR1s to go on my 17x9 track wheels, new AD08Rs to go in my front road wheels and a couple other bits.

Also fitted some 265 DRLs and some brake ducting a couple weeks back

Update time I guess.
Had a few bits needing doing before Spa a couple weeks back, mainly maintenence stuff really.
Had new front calipers fitted along with some plain Brembo discs and some RST3 up front with some RS44s on the back, couple with Ti shims and Endless fluid im properly chuffed with how great the brakes are now, Zero issues with fade or heat so the ducting definitely seems to be helping.
Also had some AR1s fitted onto my 17x9 track wheels, 255 front and 225 rear, very impressed with how good the tyres are. Near enough a DZ03 for half the cost. Just a bit pants in the cold and damp as I found out early at Spa, particularly under brakes.
Had my front right AST damper fail as well so that put a bit of a downer on the day as it basically meant I had no damping on that corner which really wasn’t confidence inspiring particularly on the fast stuff. Still managed Iver 200 miles on track and a 3 min lap with a wounded car though. Plenty to come off that next year with a few tweaks to my setup and working dampers.
That’s about it really, few small plans for the winter but not much. Cage, Xenons, lightweight battery and possibly Abs removal then get a full seasons worth of trackdays out it next year.

Also sorted some brake ducting out, could do with tidying up the intakes on the grill but function over Form haha, certainly helps with Temps

Such an awesome car! Hope you’ve had a good time at the ring and spa

Few updates over the past while, rear msa spec cage with front section to follow in the winter, upgraded to some 2 way ASTs and a few other wee bits.

The AST look fantastic! Are they easy to justify the cost?

Not had them on track to compare the two but the original set of one way 5100’s were incredible so i have no doubts they will be even better with them being a proper competition spec kit now.

As for cost. lets just say i never paid anywhere near retail on either sets so will be quids in when it comes to move them on, If i ever do lol
