Has anyone ever tried offering up a Punto GT inlet manifold to a C1J engine for an EFI conversion rather than having to re-machine the original C1J one? :read.gif:

not that i know of but it looks good, i might of read that the uno turbo one was close too?
The Uno one is a bit of a dogs breakfast according to my Uno Turbo fanatic mate Jez who sent me these pictures..
If you look at this one ABOVE you can see that the outlets are shaped, which probably wouldn’t work too well with a C1J..?
that alliance manifold would be great to get hold of. straight bolt on.
Think it’s worth getting hold of an inlet or at least a gasket to have a measure up? For sure I don’t think it would be a straight bolt on job, but perhaps it would be a case of welding on the C1J inlet flanges onto the Punto manifold rather than completely re-hashing a C1J Inlet?

No doubt it will need some choppy/weldy action to make it fit which will be dear if you cant do it yourself. The manifolds michael tierney makes is prob the best bolt on option?
The Skoda Fabia 1.4 mpi manifold supposedly bolts up with a bit of fettling of the holes.
I’ve got one, but can’t be arsed to take the o.e manifold off Whitey to see if it does fit…and I don’t have a spare head either.
Got a pic mart? The skoda engine is 1397cc also isn’t it? so could be a close match for plenum volume

nice one, ill have a complete engine here soon, so was thinking i could mock up on it before fitting it all in to the campus. Would like to order one to do so but want to make sure i get the right one (y)
I’ve got a Skoda 1.4MPI manifold but didn’t offer it up as the last thing I read was the bores were too small..
As opposed to a 32mm dia’ throttle plate?

or the 25mm venturi. im sure they could be opened up though, and will probably need a reshape to the head. Ive found a few on ebay, they all look the same, just want to make sure its the same as you guys have before i buy one
Bought the punto manifold years ago but never got round to doing anything with it
It won’t fit straight on I was going to cut the flanges of the gt and weld them to it
ive ordered a skoda item so i can look in a week or so how close it is on a head and report back
Already done Adey. Currently gathering parts to convert my brothers five. The manifold is long and very close to bulkhead.
bang some pics up bud, will update as i go along, could be a future project for me, just easy to check out on the engine before i swap it into my car
