Its been nearly 3 weeks since we moved over layouts. How are you finding it?

Voted neither for or against it, but if you want the truth, I personally preferred the old layout
I’d like to understand why. If you can give me a few reasons I can look to change things.
– andybondI just found the old layout more natural to use, I have used forums a lot over the years and xenforo is a familiar style / layout not too dissimilar to vbulletin that all forums used for donkey's years. The new style / layout will just take some time to get used too. Also maybe the new layout is more suited to using a phone / tablet, but I tend to use desktop when browsing forums.
– cossie1I understand where you are coming from with the bulletin —> xen thing. Same team developed it. I use the site mainly on desktop too. What are you struggling with?
– andybondI wouldn't say I was struggling, it's just a case of getting used to it, that's all. That said, if you have the display (theme) set to Light, (I can't use dark on any site as it really strains my eyes), then you can't easily see the title of any of the sections. https://i.postimg.cc/4Nh2Cz1Q/tr.jpg

– andybondended up disabling the pictures as the writing was getting lost against them, now it all looks very bland as its just black or white for me. Anyway the pics can be active but with some sort of block out where the text is?
Screen grab it for me Adey where you are losing the text against the images. I have tested it on iOS light dark and same with windows. I’d like to see what you’re seeing so I can adjust.

– AdeyLiking the ‘page less’ threads a lot makes catching up a lot easier, Especially on pic heavy threads!
Key system was abit hit and miss at first, getting used to it however, Liking the forum sections under thread titles, although personally I think this makes the Home Screen look a tad busy
So if I made the forum sections text a bit smaller would that help? You can chose categories if you prefer too

Ah , the categories. Just to check. In android phone on light mode?
– andybondthats desktop light mode. dark mode is better. im yet to use it much on the phone
