Oh well - can’t win them all!
Just booted it off a roundabout onto a nice piece of straight dual carriageway (my private runway i might add!), and saw a cars lights in the mirror a bit away. The lights stayed pretty much the same distance away, then i hit about 70mph and it started to catch up to me - until it went past! Gave him a thumbs up as he went past, but was dark so he probably didn’t see.
Can’t remember the year, but it looked like a newer shaped version of the A3. Was definitey an A3, and it was a 5 door! Just plain and simple, no mods.
Had a look on parkers, and there’s lots of powerful variants of these new A3’s fair play! Wouldn’t mind betting it was the 2.0 TDi 167 bhp version. Wouldn’t have been anything more powerful surely, 'coz couldn’t pull at all until about 70+mph.
So annoying - the hybrid is off the road being re-built, so have this valver for now! The hybrid would’ve beaten it convincingly i’m sure! The valver is so slow compared to the willy lump after 2nd gear
