I’ve been told with some (alot of) work and of course money. You can fit them in. Apprently ‘similar’ to putting a volvo engine in.
Any truth to this?

seen a clio wiv a mitsubushi evo engine in so anything is possible with the all important MONEY lol
flan did one, was kicking around at FCS
a lot of work involved. the way its often put across ‘if you need to ask, you shouldnt really be doing it’
not worth as it can run into silly amounts of money.
especially if its something that someone else to do for u.
Just gathering ideas.
Thanks for the feedback.
Flans used custom mounts, custom wiring, custom downpipe, custom driveshafts… the list carried on and on. It’s possible but unless your a competant mechanic/engineer, then I’m sure the 20vT engine is not the route to go.
As Matteh said, it was at FCS but it didn’t seem a patch on the old car Flan used to drive.

my mates just put one in a mk1 golf
as the guy said, need loadsa custom bits, and when you can run 400bhp on an f7p you realy have to ask what is the point? the price of 400bhp on an f7p will probably be around the same as getting the VAG engine in - standard 225bhp?
wouldnt even waste the time and effort on one when as midge put you can get more power out of a f7p with abit of effort!

Just want something unique really. If i had the spare cash i could get a 182 engine as a bloke that i know has just crashed his. But i won’t be doing this for a while as insurence, cost to run ect is abi much. Idealy i would love to get my hands on a 197 and tubro it :D. But i’m not a mechanic at all. I do have mates that are very good with cars (mainly redtops) and would be able to do the work on the cheap. Kinda a project that i would fund lol, but able to learn on the way (picking up a few things anyway by readin the technical help and projects ect).
What about running r1 carbs?
I love my car, just want people to look at it rather than take a glance if you know what i mean, not by bodykits and flashing neons, but the engine. What cars should be. Also have something abit special to show off!
Thanks again guys.
carbs are cheap with good gains £800ish gain off 20-30bhp

are the R1 bike bodies actual throttle bodies or more of a carb, just asking as not quite sure.

ideal non-turbo naturally aspirated WIN WIN WIN!
