During the rebuild on my Renault 11 Turbo. I was searching for a new solid V-Belt for the Alternator/Water Pump as the OE Renault Solid V-Belts are no longer available. I figured that it wouldn't be too hard to source a belt from a from a regular Belt Supplier as surely they can't be exclusive to Renault 11 Turbo's can they..? Of course they're not!! The OE size for a C1J Engine is 1135mm and its part number is 77 01 349 245, but In the end I ordered three belts from the company linked below, and as you can see the prices are cheap! I chose the one that moved the alternator a little closer to the engine: 1137mm - £3.45 1112mm - £3.37 1120mm - £3.37 (TopTip) :grin.gif: From your TurboRenault Resource!!
PMT DIY Twingo/Clio 1.2 TCE Short shift
So as no one seems to do a short shifter for the Twingo or Clio 1.2 TCE so i gave it a quick crack. Final results are just over an inch less throw and the gear lever sitting half inch closer to the driver. Nothing major, i didnt really find the standard shift that long tbh but i kept seeing people asking for a short shifter. Took me all of 20min to do. This is how you do it.... The PMT way You will need a drill, pilot and m8 tapping size, 6.5 or 6.7 will do for this. An M8 x 1.25 tap. Also you will require a 10mm m8 ball ended stud HERE Remove everything thats in the way of the shift mechanism, mine was easy to get to as i have relocated the battery so i just removed the air filter. It will look like this Theres pretty much only...

Clutch pedal R21t
There is a high degree like mine, that most of the Ph1 clutch pedals are worn on the master cylinder rod connection pin, so I had a good look to see what can be done. I am fortunate that the hole in the rod hasn’t gone oval and remains reasonably round. The first step is obviously to remove the pedal which can be a pain if you don’t have the assister spring retaining tool but it is possible. Next is to cut off the worn pin flush with the raised section & file flat. Centre punch the cross pin and drill a 4mm hole to depth 25mm then a 6.5mm hole to the same depth. Thread the hole with a M8 x 1.25 tap to approx 22mm Get a 40mm stud with 20mm thread length on one end & 10mm on the other and using high strength thread lock screw the stud...

Ph1 GT Turbo Identification guide
extracted from : http://classicregister.com/content/how-identify-1985-1987-renault-5-gt-turbo-phase-1 This identification guide / buyers guide has been drafted for those interested in the Renault 5 GT Turbo Phase 1, otherwise known as the “Super 5” GT Turbo. This car, much like the Golf GTI, has a somewhat cult status in the early hot hatch sector, and they are becoming increasingly sought after. Information on these cars is fairly scarce in English, even on dedicated forums, so this guide has been drafted to assist those who want to be able to easily distinguish between the GT Turbo and other models in the 5 range, as there can be a substantial price differential between the models which are based on the same body shell. This guide...
Guide to changing Megane sport 225/R26 front hub/lower swivel bearings
Stiff steering?? Erratic handling? Steering not self centering? Your lower swivel bearings could possibly do with changing. The Mégane Renault Sport uses double-axis strut suspension with independent steering axis at the front which is awesome yet complex. The lower swivel bearings are not particularly well sealed to the elements (ideal for the UK!) so they tend to suffer - grease gets washed away - corrosion off salt in winter. Renault uk knew about this from what i have read but took no action - £250 for a full new hub!? daylight robbery. This is the offending bearing. First of all lets do some diagnostics to see what/if anything needs replacing. Jack the front end up and undo/remove track rod ends from the hubs. Do the hubs...
