the last few days i have noticed a wet patch on my drivers side floor mat below the clutch pedal, i thought it was just water from getting in my car when its wet outside, it hasnt been drying up so today i had a closer look and relised it was brake/clutch fluid. after getting a torch and bending down in to the foot well i relised the problem straight away..... the clutch hose which comes from the front of the car in through the bulk head passes near the clucth pedal itself befor going into the cylinder. over time the clutch pedal has worn a hole all the way thru it. bad design to who ever cable tyied it the way thay did. I THINK YOU ALL SHOULD HAVE A LOOK YOURSELF AT YOURS BEFORE ITS TO LATE

my car is a mk2
54 plate done 22000 miles
lucky its under warrenty

Hmm,

Might need to check this as my clutch had a wobble on Sunday as the level might be a bit low and I wasn't sure why. I had to pump the pedal to restore normal operation.

Wonder if I have a leak ...
