Yes another S55 BMW M2 Comp post
Today we've had a customer in to check and log some of the OTS (off the shelf) maps that he's running on his M2C to make sure it's safe for some abuse on track! The graph is from our EcuTek Technologies Ltd mapping on our own vehicle against the STG2 OTS map on the customers vehicle. As you can see the OTS has a lot more torque midrange with a fairly agressive torque curve (1.7 bar boost vs 1.3) but our custom map is around 40lbft more all the way up to 3200rpm and then around 50hp more at 7000 rpm! Drivability wise i'd like to think the less agressive torque curve would be much easier to use! The OTS 98RON map also had a lot of knock correction, upto 6 degrees on some cylinders, the car was running on Tesco 99 so i wouldn't have expected quite as much correction.
