Wheres my alarm???

I asked this question a while ago but wheres my alarm... I have a mk1 v6 and cant seem to get the alarm to go off, the car locks and unlocks fine but i get no beep. should I have a alarm? The immobiliser works fine tho. Does anyone know how to reset the alarm?
 
The mk1 alarm doesnt beep when you lock it unless you turn the motion sensors off inside and it beeps to warn you......try locking it with the key fob and then unlock it with the actual key in the door. I did this the other day without thinking and the alarm went off as it was activated by the fob
 
I dont have any sensors inside the car. I did what you said but no joy, still didnt go off. im sure it would have an alarm. The lesser models have alarms so why not my v6?
 
What's your car's plaque number? Lesser models don't have alarms, and the V6 wasn't factory built with an alarm. Instead the alarm was an additional thing added to UK cars at the UK import centre, along with the RAC Trackstar. My suspicion is that your V6 was imported directly and so not being a Renault UK imported car missed having it's alarm/tracker added.
