whats that noise....please let it be water and not petrol

....I am praying that you all answer this as just stored water dripping onto a hot exhaust........drove the V for the first time all week and when I parked it back up I could hear drip, sizzle, drip, sizzle, etc for a few minutes. Car has been out all week whilst I was away - as it has rained a little should i stop panicking? it is on the Off side so not the expansion bottle. Thats topped up fine. What with all of the skid plates I cant see anything else. Help!
 
...don't think I used the aircon that night....find it sounds better with all the windows down!!! Anyways drove 16 miles through London to work - no bonfires and noises so guess it was standing water.
