Washer Bottle Warning Light....

Ashy B

New Member
I ran out of washer fluid on the way home from work this evening but didn't have any warning light come up on the dash,

I've checked my handbook and it does give a picture to a washer bottle light... can anyone confirm that the phase 1 does indeed have a warning light for a low level washer bottle?

Has anybody else had the same issue? All of my lights work on the dash so if it does have a warning light i doubt a bulb has gone (but not ruling it out) I'm thinking the connections on the bottle may be fouled up if it has one, I believe the bottle pump sits pretty low close to the front nearside inner sh*t guard aswell doesn't it?

Tar!! :)

A washer bottle light!? Do you think you're driving a posh car or something!? No washer bottle light on my Ph 1 172 so doubt there's one on Ph 1 Vee, and similarly no light on Ph 2 Vee.

I did indeed think I had a posh car!! 8) Thanks for the info Andy appreciate that :approve:

Weird how it labels one on the diagarm of the handbook though and you can also see a pic cut out in the plastic for one in the cluster,

I know the same instrument cluster was used in the other clio models as you mentioned above so if one was never fitted to the top spec 'normal' clio's why bother putting one in the cluster and not use it at all? Strange that,
