Viper VS BMC CDA

Right ive done a search and a bit of reading, but a few more have had the piper fitted now.

So I would like opinions please on both, why go for one over the other?

Would particularly like to hear from those who have switched from PiperX to BMC please.

Also where was the best place to order - Ktec are currently charging £241 for the PiperX so about £60 less for the BMC

I would ideally like to order tommorow.

Thanks

I had a piper x, unfortunately had not been cleaned / oiled / serviced which should be done annually, so when I tried to service it the foam fell apart and it was difficult to get spare parts as separates.

So I swapped to a BMC - sound wise would not say that much different but I do feel the quality of the casing etc was better quality

I have had both on mine and tbh there isn't much in it.

Both sound nice, but i would say the Piper is better built but obviously cost's more.

If you want to be a purist, do some research on the flow and filtration capabilities of each one and use that to make your decision. I guess what it looks like is largely irrelevant in the Vee.

Having said that ... I have a pipercross Evo as it was available at the time for less than it's retail price, the kit was easy to fit and looks robust. I did some research on the Evo kits and, as you would expect, the marketing material suggested to me that a good amount of R&D had gone into making it flow and filter well. Mind you with a 4 inch induction pipe from an external side-pod, there is also gonna be a good flow of cold air to start with - no matter what filter you use !!!
