I assume you have the Motec set-up on yours?
Whats the cost of Motec compared to K-Tech etc?
Have you driven one of each?
Would it have to be done on the car or can the ECU be sent to them?

Alex; Motec is not re-chipping it's a completely new ECU along with engine loom and would also need to be mapped. Advantages are better control, more load sites, add on technology like anti-lag, water injection control.
If you think you are going down the route of serious/significant modifications to the engine then you need to go for something like Motec - it's the only way you'll get it all to work and to exploit the modifications that have been done.
If you're only going for the standard airbox, backbox type stuff then standard RSTuning, Superchips re-mapping is fine.
Cost differential is very high; standard re-map from RS Tuning or Superchips is around the £300. New ECU like Motec take that figure and multiple by 10 and.
